Foes in Master Mode prove even more formidable thanks to their enhanced ability to detect Link. Master Mode, in particular, increased the base game's difficulty, culminating in enemies - bosses included - receiving a one-level boost.

BOTW's Master Mode joined the experience in June 2017 with the advent of the The Master Trials DLC. The first DLC pack for the open-world adventure, The Master Trials additionally unlocked access to content such as Hero's Path Mode, Trial of the Sword, and Phantom Equipment.
